Argan, Inc. is a publicly traded holding company headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, operating through wholly owned subsidiaries. The company evolved by aggregating specialized operating businesses in the power, industrial, and infrastructure sectors, giving it a diversified but focused presence across energy and heavy construction domains. Over time, Argan has grown both organically and through acquisitions—bringing together equipment fabrication, industrial services, power plant construction, and telecommunications infrastructure under its umbrella.

In its Power Industry Services segment, Argan offers a full suite of services—engineering, procurement, construction, project development, commissioning, operations management, and consulting—for power generation facilities. This includes both conventional and low-carbon / renewable power projects such as gas-fired plants, waste-to-energy, biomass, wind, and solar facilities. Through its power segment, Argan positions itself to participate actively in the energy transition while also maintaining strength in established generation technologies.

In the Industrial Construction Services domain, Argan delivers turnkey onsite construction, maintenance, and turnaround services in heavy industrial sectors. It handles fabrication and installation of steel piping systems, pressure vessels, and associated infrastructure, supporting industries such as petrochemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and energy storage. This segment provides resilience to Argan by diversifying revenue beyond pure power work, especially in periods when industrial maintenance and refurbishment demand is robust.

Argan also runs a Telecommunications & Infrastructure Services arm that handles outside and inside construction, cable installation, structured cabling, power distribution, and connectivity network work in support of commercial, municipal, and federal clients, mostly in the mid-Atlantic U.S. In combining these three segments, Argan positions itself as an integrated service provider across energy generation, heavy industrial work, and communications infrastructure. Its diversified portfolio gives it flexibility to ride cycles in energy investment, industrial maintenance, and telecom build-outs—while its core strength in power project execution anchors its identity in the energy and infrastructure markets.
