Brightstar Lottery (NYSE: BRSL), formerly known as International Game Technology PLC (IGT), is a pure-play global lottery company. In June 2025, IGT announced a strategic rebranding of its lottery division as Brightstar Lottery, ahead of the sale of its Gaming & Digital business to funds managed by Apollo Global Management. The rebrand reflects a focused shift toward core lottery operations, anchored by nearly 50 years of experience and a modern, future-forward mindset under CEO Vince Sadusky and Executive Chair Marco Sala.

On July 1, 2025, Brightstar completed the divestiture of its Gaming & Digital business for approximately $4 billion in net proceeds. The transaction enabled Brightstar to return $1.1 billion to shareholders via a $3.00-per-share special dividend and a new $500 million share repurchase authorization, while allocating $2 billion toward debt reduction and reserving funds for corporate growth and licensing initiative. Starting July 2, shares began trading under the new ticker symbol “BRSL” on the NYSE, with the company's legal name officially transitioning to Brightstar Lottery PLC in July 2025.

Brightstar offers comprehensive lottery solutions including lottery systems, retail and digital platforms, instant ticket production, iLottery services, and transactional technologies such as point-of-sale terminals and voucher systems. With approximately 6,000 employees and a presence in about 90 lotteries across six continents—including primary technology provider for 26 of the 46 U.S. jurisdictions and seven of the world’s ten largest lotteries—Brightstar leverages deep industry expertise and proprietary technology like the OMNIA™ integrated platform.

With a refined strategic focus, strengthened finances, and deep domain expertise, Brightstar is well-positioned to accelerate innovation in both retail and digital lottery channels. The company is committed to modernization initiatives—upgrading core systems, delivering advanced lottery services, and driving sustainability through its “Sustainable Play™” values. As a standalone lottery operator post-gaming sale, Brightstar aims to maximize shareholder value while empowering public lotteries and communities around the globe.
