McEwen Mining Inc., founded in 1979, is a Canadian mining company carving a niche for itself in the Americas. Their primary focus lies in exploring and producing precious metals like gold and silver, along with copper, a base metal. Their operations span across North and South America, with mines and exploration sites situated in Argentina, Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

The company is a public entity, trading on both the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the symbol "MUX". Rob McEwen, the founder, holds a significant stake (25%) and steers the company as Chairman and Chief Owner.

McEwen's mining operations are strategically spread across the continent. The El Gallo 1 mine in Mexico, wholly owned by them, is their crown jewel, contributing more than half of their total gold output. They also hold a 49% interest in the San Jose mine located in Argentina. This mine, along with El Gallo 1, plays a key role in McEwen's gold production, while also being the primary source of their silver. Additionally, they operate the Fox Complex in Ontario, Canada, and the Gold Bar mine in Nevada, USA, further bolstering their gold production.

Beyond established mines, McEwen actively explores for new potential deposits. They maintain exploration sites in Argentina, Mexico, and the United States, constantly seeking to expand their resource base and secure a strong future.

Gold and silver are the mainstays of McEwen's revenue stream. While copper is not a primary focus currently, their Los Azules copper project in Argentina showcases their intent to diversify their production portfolio.
